How to Fill In Your Amazon Associates Website Details
Hunting for a way into Amazon's affiliate program? The US sign-up asks for one thing before it lets you in: a real website or social page that you actually run. This share walks you through picking that platform and filling in the field Amazon checks.
The gate is stricter than it looks. Amazon US wants a page the public can see, with original content and real followers — around 500 of them in most cases. Get that ready first and the form itself takes two minutes.

What You Need
- Account information and address already prepared from the earlier sign-up steps.
- A website or social media page you genuinely manage yourself.
Tutorial
- Pick your main platform — the website or social page you really run. Choose the one you control yourself, not a page someone else manages.
- Check that your platform is on the accepted list. Amazon US takes Facebook Fan Pages or open groups, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch. Personal Facebook profiles and closed groups do not qualify.
- Make sure the page is public, original and useful. It needs content you wrote yourself, recommendations worth reading, and organic followers — Amazon names around 500 followers as the benchmark in most cases.
- Copy the full profile URL and paste it into the Website or Mobile App List field. That means the whole profile address, not just facebook.com or instagram.com.
Wrapping Up
If any part of the form still does not make sense to you, hold off on submitting it. It is better to build the platform up first than to send an account that does not meet the requirements yet. The next part of this series covers the Profile Questionnaire and how to answer its questions.
