About the Videy Downloader

Videy is a drop-and-share video host — someone uploads a clip, gets a short link like videy.co/v?id=7ZH1ZRIF, and sends it on. It's built for watching, not keeping: the player has no save button, right-clicking gets you a menu with nothing useful on it, and links to short-lived uploads have a way of going dead right after you decide you wanted that clip. Paste the link here and you get the file the uploader actually put there — same MP4, same quality, no re-encode, no screen recording at 3am.

Which link is the right one

Videy links come in two shapes and people paste both. Either works here — what matters is that the id is still attached:

  • videy.co/v?id=… — the watch page. This is what you get from the address bar.
  • videy.co/w?id=… — the embed/share form. Same video, different wrapper.

A bare videy.cowith no id is just the homepage — there's no video behind it for us to find.

No, and you don't need one here either for your first few. Videy links are public by design — if it plays for you, we can fetch it.

What quality do I get?

Whatever was uploaded. We hand you the source file untouched, so a 1080p upload stays 1080p and a phone clip stays exactly as grainy as it always was.

The link opens but nothing downloads. Why?

Most often the upload was already deleted — Videy clips don't stick around forever. Check that the video still plays on videy.co first. If it does and we still failed, that one's on us and it didn't count against your free downloads.

Can I download several at once?
