About the X Link Cleaner
Copy a post link from X and it no longer ends at the post ID. It ends with a question mark and a tail like ?a=uqa_a0BpGpaE4mGJaul&s=19. The post opens fine without any of it, so the tail isn't there for you. The short s= number changes with where you copied the link (web, iPhone or Android), and the long a= token only shows up when you're logged in, which suggests it ties the link back to the account that shared it. This cleaner cuts everything after the post ID so the link you send is just the link. Paste one URL or a whole message full of them: every X and Twitter link gets cleaned, and everything else, including links to other sites, comes back exactly as you wrote it.
How to use it
- 1On X, tap Share on the post and choose Copy link. Do this for as many posts as you like.
- 2Paste the link, or the whole message it sits in, into the box above. It cleans as you paste and tells you which parameters it removed.
- 3Hit Copy clean link and send it anywhere. The post opens exactly the same, minus the tracking tail.

FAQ
What does ?s=20 mean on a Twitter link?
It's a share-source code X adds when you copy a link. Users have noticed the number changes with where you copied it: the web app, the iPhone app and the Android app each give a different value. X has never documented it officially, but it doesn't change which post opens.
What is the a= parameter on X links?
It's a longer token X started adding to copied post links in October 2026, replacing the older t= token. It only appears when you're logged in, which suggests it can be traced back to the account that copied the link. Removing it doesn't affect the post at all.
Will the link still work after cleaning?
Yes. X only needs the username and the post ID to open a post. Everything after the question mark is extra, so the clean link opens the same post, with the same replies and the same view count.
Does this work on twitter.com and mobile links?
Yes. x.com, twitter.com, www. and mobile. links are all recognized, with or without https:// at the front. The cleaner keeps whichever domain you pasted rather than rewriting it.
Can I clean YouTube, Instagram or TikTok links here?
Not yet. This page only touches X and Twitter links and leaves every other link exactly as it was. Be careful cleaning YouTube links by hand: on youtube.com/watch?v=… the v= part is the video itself, so only remove from &si= onward.
Is anything I paste stored?
No. Nothing leaves your browser. You can check your browser's network tab while you paste: there's no request.
