Revesery is a tech community where people share what they're building, learning, and breaking. This policy explains how Revesery (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects and handles personal information when you visit revesery.com or use any of our services.

What we collect
Here's every type of data we touch, and why we need it. No hidden categories.

We don't collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, payment card data, or biometric info. We don't use facial recognition. We don't buy data about you from third parties.
How we use it
- Run the service. Show your profile, deliver your feed, save your drafts, count your XP.
- Keep things safe. Spot spam, block abuse, investigate fraud, enforce our Terms.
- Make it better. Understand which features people use and which ones flop.
- Talk to you. Send important account emails and the newsletter if you opted in.
- Comply with the law. Respond to lawful requests when we have to.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell your data. Ads on Revesery are served by third parties — see Advertising.
Who we share with
Short list, on purpose.
Service providers
Hosting, email delivery (SMTP), Google OAuth for sign-in. They process data on our instructions only.
Advertising partners
Google (AdSense) and Monetag serve the ads you see here. They set their own cookies and receive device and browsing data directly from your browser — see Advertising below.
The public — on purpose
Anything you publish (shares, comments, your username and profile photo) is visible to everyone and may be indexed by search engines.
Law enforcement (when required)
If we get a valid legal request, we comply. We push back on overbroad demands.
Business changes
If Revesery is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner — under terms at least as protective as this policy.
Cookies & tracking
We use a small set of our own cookies, and our analytics and advertising partners set theirs.
- Essential cookies — for login sessions and security. Can't turn these off without breaking the site.
- Preference cookies — remember your settings (language, layout).
- Analytics cookies — aggregate usage stats through Google Analytics. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on or by clearing cookies.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google and other ad partners to show ads and measure them. Details and opt-outs in Advertising.

Advertising
Ads keep Revesery free. Here's exactly who shows them and how to control it.
- Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Revesery and/or other sites on the Internet. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Monetag. Some tool pages show a full-screen ad from Monetag, a third-party ad network that may use cookies and device identifiers. See Monetag's privacy policy.
Turn off personalized ads:
In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, you'll see a consent message from Google's certified consent platform before any advertising cookies are set, with the choice to consent, not consent, or manage options. Clear cookies for revesery.com and the message comes back so you can choose again. Opting out means you still see ads — they just won't be based on your browsing.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you live in California, you have extra rights under the CCPA and CPRA:
- Right to know what personal info we've collected, used, and disclosed in the past 12 months.
- Right to delete personal info we've collected from you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal info.
- Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” — we don't sell personal info for money. Our ad partners' cookies can count as “sharing” for personalized ads under the CPRA; opt out any time through Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info, or by emailing us.
- Right to non-discrimination — using your rights won't get you worse service.

EU / UK residents (GDPR)
If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, GDPR applies. Our legal bases:
- Contract — we need your data to give you the account you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — running the service, keeping it secure, and improving it.
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and for advertising cookies (asked through our consent message). You can withdraw anytime.
- Legal obligation — when we have to comply with the law.
International transfers: Our servers are in the United States. When data moves out of the EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.
How we protect your data
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for everything in transit.
- Passwords stored as one-way bcrypt hashes — we can't see your password, ever.
- Access controls so only the people who need data can touch it.
- Regular security reviews.
No system is bulletproof. If something goes wrong, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities within the timeframes required by law.
How long we keep it

Kids under 13
Revesery isn't built for kids under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data (COPPA). If you think a child gave us info, email support@revesery.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change. For anything significant, we'll give you a heads-up by email or in-app notice before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date up top always reflects the current version.
