ChatGPT Analytics for Businesses Is Reportedly Coming
Wondering whether your business actually shows up when people ask ChatGPT about your niche? OpenAI is reportedly building a way to see exactly that. A new banner spotted inside ChatGPT suggests the feature is closer to launch than anyone thought.
It works like a Search Console for AI answers, tracking impressions, clicks and daily charts. It also has real blind spots, and you should know about those before you get too excited.

What Happened
The feature has apparently been in development since at least August. A banner seen recently points to an approaching launch, and it sits inside a broader Business Hub experience.
Access looks limited to businesses that have verified ownership, with connecting a Shopify store given as the example.
Here is what it tracks:
- AI Impressions: how many times your business appeared in ChatGPT responses.
- AI Clicks: how many people clicked links pointing to your website.
- Daily Performance: impressions and clicks charted over time.
The limits are just as specific. There is no access to users' prompts, no personal user data, no competitor benchmarks, and no rankings showing who is winning AI visibility. So you will not learn exactly why your brand gets mentioned more or less.
Why It Matters
Pair this with outside tools that watch AI prompts, citations and brand mentions, and you could finally draw a line between your GEO and AEO work and first-party numbers you own. That is new. Traditional SEO gave you rankings and organic clicks; this is aimed at AI visibility, LLM mentions and AI-driven traffic.
The catch is that nothing is confirmed yet. Keep an eye on your Business Hub if you run a verified store, and treat the numbers as one signal rather than the whole picture.
