How to Install hyperresearch for Deep Research in Claude Code

Hunting for a research tool that does not throw away everything it reads? Someone turned Claude Code into a full deep research agent and open sourced it, and it installs with one command.

It is called hyperresearch. You give it a single question and it does the work a research analyst would do over two full days, reading 55 to 130 sources and fact checking every citation before it hands you a word.

How to Install hyperresearch for Deep Research in Claude Code

What You Need

  • Claude Code or Codex, since hyperresearch runs inside either one.

Tutorial

  1. Run the install line in your terminal.
pip install hyperresearch
  1. Open Claude Code or Codex. hyperresearch works with both, so use whichever one you already have set up.
  1. Give it one research question. It breaks the question into pieces and fires off dozens of searches at once.
  1. Let it finish before you judge the output. It reads and scores 55 to 130 sources, writes three drafts, sends four AI critics in to tear them apart, and nothing ships until it clears a verification gate.

Wrapping Up

What you get is a researcher that pulls from OpenAlex, Crossref, SEC EDGAR, FRED and clinical trial databases rather than just Google, then flags anything that turns out to have been retracted. Every source it reads is saved to a searchable vault on your own machine, so the next question in the same area starts with that memory intact. Most deep research products throw all of that away the moment they answer you; this one keeps it. If you already pay for a deep research product, install it and compare on a question you know well.
