Open-slide 2.0 Adds a Visual Editor and Editable PPTX Export
If you use a coding agent to draft slide decks, Open-slide is the open-source framework built for exactly that. Version 2.0 just landed, and most of what is new concerns the part after your agent finishes.
The pitch has not changed: let your agent build the deck, then make the final touches yourself. This release just makes that second half a lot easier to live with.

What Happened
Open-slide shipped 2.0 with three changes:
- A new visual editor, so you can adjust the deck by hand instead of editing code.
- Editable pptx export, so the file you send out can still be changed by whoever receives it.
- A redesigned UI across the framework.
To get any of it, update to 2.0.
Why It Matters
Agent-written decks are fast, but they are rarely the version you present. A visual editor closes that gap without pushing you back into a text editor for a headline tweak. And an editable pptx export matters more than it sounds, because a deck that arrives as a flat file usually means the next person starts over from scratch.
So the workflow stays the same, and the handoff gets shorter: your agent does the drafting, you do the polish, and the export still opens for edits.
