Lightpanda Is a 16x Lighter Headless Browser for AI Agents
Every AI agent you run is quietly driving a full copy of Chrome, and your automation bill is mostly RAM. Lightpanda is a headless browser built from scratch in Zig for agents, with no Chromium, no Blink, and no rendering engine underneath.

What Happened
Lightpanda is a drop-in replacement for Puppeteer and Playwright, and it ships with native MCP support. In benchmarks, it loaded 100 pages in 5 seconds, where Chrome took 46 seconds. Peak memory was 123MB versus Chrome's 2GB — about 16x lighter.
Why It Matters
Instead of keeping a model in the loop, you describe a flow in plain English once. Lightpanda's agent mode clicks through the flow and exports the whole session as plain JavaScript. You replay that script forever, deterministically, with no model calls at runtime. So you pay the LLM once to record the workflow, then ship a script that never makes another inference call.
