Claude Code Made a 30-Second Promo Video From Two Links
Making a product promo usually means assets, a timeline, and an afternoon in After Effects. This one came out of two links and one prompt, in a first attempt.
The result was a finished 30-second spot at 30 FPS and 1920×1080. No images, no sound, no external platform.
What Happened
A motion designer wanted to turn Paperclip into a product promo with nothing to work with. No assets, no images, no sounds — just two links: the Paperclip website and the Paperclip GitHub repo.
Those two links went into Claude Code with a short prompt, running on Opus 5.5 at High Effort. The first attempt came back as a 30-second video, 30 FPS, 1920×1080, done in 1 hour 37 minutes.
No After Effects. No external platform. No fancy setup. Just Claude Code.
Why It Matters
A promo video used to need a timeline and an editing suite. Here it was two links and a prompt. The designer calls it a quick experiment, and it is only the first try — the next move is refining the prompt, adding assets, and pushing the workflow further.
If a two-link prompt can turn a repo into a finished promo spot, the part worth practicing is knowing exactly what to ask for.
