Open Bot builds open-source AI coworkers with jobs and tools
Most AI assistants sit and wait for a prompt. Open Bot is built for something else: open-source AI coworkers that hold down their own jobs. Each one can be set up with its own tools, skills, and computer, plus rules about what it is allowed to reach.
That last part is the one worth your attention. Access rules decide how much a coworker can actually touch, and they are what separate a helper you can hand work to from one you have to watch.

What Happened
Open Bot is an open-source project for building AI coworkers. The post lists what each coworker can carry: its own jobs, tools, skills, computers, and access rules. No price, no install link, and no release date came with it.
Why It Matters
Giving a coworker its own job and tools means you are not typing prompts all day. You describe a role, and the coworker works through it. Access rules then draw the boundary around that role, so the thing pointed at one task does not automatically get everything else.
If you already run open-source AI at home or at work, the real question is how much of a job one of these can hold, and how tight you can make the rules around it.
