Bilibili Relaunches Its International App
Bilibili, often called China's YouTube, just relaunched its international app and is preparing an English-language site. The app is live on Google Play now, with iOS coming soon.
This matters because the new version drops the old ID verification, so you no longer need a passport to sign up. You get the same content as the Chinese version, plus AI translation rolling out for international users.

What Happened
Bilibili's international app is back on Google Play, and an English-language site is in the works. The company is also hiring in Japan, the US, and Europe.
Key changes:
- No ID verification or passport needed to sign up.
- Same content on the US and Chinese versions.
- Aimed at a Gen Z, affluent, well-educated audience, with a brand marketplace in development.
- AI translation coming for international users.
Why It Matters
Bilibili is one of China's biggest video platforms, and this relaunch makes it genuinely accessible outside China for the first time. If you want to watch the same content Chinese users see, without the old verification hurdles, this is the version to try.
